Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world and spans over a staggering 17,000 Islands. I decided to embark on my photography adventure during Ramadan and met friendly people all over, who welcomed me wholeheartedly to their festival. Even the hospitality of the indigenous villages in Borneo was welcoming, encouraging you to linger and get to know the people a little better. A photographic highlight pictures one of the oldest swimming markets in Asia just south of the island. Women have been trading their regional products there for over 500 years. The colourful clothing of the market vendors and the fresh fruit and vegetables all merge into one single colour composition.
